How Multiflor Limited uses the personal information you give us when you visit our website or get in touch, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This website, www.multiflorltd.com, is run by Multiflor Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy and we are the “controller” of it under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

2. What information we collect

When you use our enquiry form

The enquiry form on our Contact page asks for your name, company, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, the project location and details of your project. Only your name, email address and project details are required.

The form does not send anything to our website. When you press “Send enquiry”, it opens the email app on your own device with a message to info@multiflorltd.com already filled in. You can check or change the message, and nothing reaches us unless you choose to send it. Nothing you type into the form is stored on our website.

When you email or phone us

If you email or phone us, we receive your contact details and anything you choose to tell us or send us, such as drawings, specifications or programme dates.

When you visit our website

Like most websites, the servers that host our site automatically record standard technical information when pages are requested. This usually includes your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the pages you looked at, the date and time, and the website that referred you. These records are kept by our hosting provider. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Our FAQ assistant

The chat button on our website answers common questions using information already on the site. It works entirely within your browser: anything you type into it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not stored.

We do not ask for, and you do not need to give us, sensitive information such as health details. Please do not include it in your enquiry.

3. How we use your information and why

UK data protection law says we must have a valid reason (a “lawful basis”) for using your personal information. We use it as follows:

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation. Where you are asking us about work for yourself, this is to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract. Where you contact us on behalf of a business or organisation, this is in our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business.
  • To carry out and manage work you ask us to do, including arranging the work and invoicing. This is to perform our contract with you, or in our legitimate interests where the contract is with the business or organisation you work for.
  • To keep business and accounting records. This is to meet our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting rules.
  • To keep our website secure and working properly, using the technical records described above. This is in our legitimate interests.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where we need to:

  • Our hosting provider, HostGator, which hosts this website and the email service for info@multiflorltd.com. It handles information on our behalf.
  • Your own email provider handles any message you send us from your email app, under its own privacy policy.
  • Our professional advisers, such as our accountants, where this is needed to run our business.
  • Public bodies, such as HM Revenue & Customs or the police, where the law requires us to.

5. Transfers outside the UK

HostGator is based in the United States, so information held by our hosting provider, such as website server records and emails sent to us, may be stored or processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure the transfer is protected as UK data protection law requires.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete it securely.

Website server records are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own arrangements.

7. Cookies and local storage

Our website does not set any cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, social media plugins or embedded maps, and our pages do not load fonts or scripts from other websites.

The only thing our website saves on your device is your choice of light or dark mode. If you press the dark mode button, your browser stores a small setting called mf-theme (with the value “dark” or “light”) in its local storage so the site remembers your choice next time. It is never sent to us, does not identify you, and is only saved if you use the button. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. Because it only remembers a choice you have asked for, we do not ask for separate consent for it.

8. Keeping it secure

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. We limit access to your information to people who need it to deal with your enquiry or work. Email is not always completely secure, so please think carefully before sending highly confidential information by email.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your information in some circumstances.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information in some circumstances.
  • Objection: object to us using your information where we rely on our legitimate interests.
  • Data portability: ask for information you gave us to be passed to you or another organisation in a commonly used format, in some circumstances.

To use any of these rights, contact us at info@multiflorltd.com or on 01257 442944. There is normally no charge, and we will reply within one month. We may need to ask you to confirm your identity first.

10. How to complain

If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please contact us first so we can try to put things right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection:

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how our website works. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
